Let’s face it spills happen! We are only human after all! You should have a strategy to clean up these accidents so that you can maintain that beautiful oriental rug of yours!

When a spill first happens, immediately wipe it up before it stains; if it stains there is nothing you can do about it, but bring in the rug to us and have us clean and remove the stain!

Do not rub out the spill; start by scraping off solids (if it was a food spill) and blotting up the liquid (if it was a liquid spill). Make sure you use a clean towel or paper towel, and start from the outside of the stain and work your way into the center; continue this process until it is dry.

If dye from the rug starts to run onto the towel you are using to clean, stop immediately and call us!

Finally, splash some cool water on the spill, and using a clean sponge, blot the area dry. After all that work, if there still is a stain, please call us and schedule a cleaning appointment; sometimes spills work fast and absorb deep into the rug, and a deeper cleaning is needed to remove the stain!
